Hilarious Cable Info-Bar Description Of The Day: Cecil B. Demented

By Kenny HerzogWelcome back to one of NSCDUV's most beloved daily features, which takes aim at the most confounding, misleading or abruptly hysterical info-bar synopses of the day's cable programming.
And while yesterday saw Anthony Hopkins improbably embody the role of a speed-freak biker dude, today we head into decidedly weirder Waters.
Cecil B. Demented
The Actual Story: Like most John Waters films, an excuse to indulge in taboos like porn and execute social commentary against conservatism. In this particular (and not especially memorable) case, Stephen Dorff is an anarchist underground filmmaker who kidnaps A-list starlet Melanie Griffith and forces her to be the lead in his subversive flick.
Cable-Info Bar Synopsis: "A renegade filmmaker kidnaps a pampered star."
What Their Description Would Have You Believe: Always known for his wild behavior, loose-canon director Dorff (as Cecil, of course) makes headlines when, for no particular reason, he kidnaps notorious actress Honey Whitlock (that would be Griffith), who's somewhat perversely become America's sweetheart as the adorably infantile star of the Huggies And Thuggies franchise, in which she portrays the bratty, bizarrely matured daughter of a husband-and-wife detective duo. (Think Raising Arizona meets fellow Info-Bar honoree Baby's Day Out.)
