Hilarious Cable Info-Bar Description Of The Day: 'Summer School'

By Kenny HerzogWelcome back to one of NSCDUV's most beloved daily features, which takes aim at the most confounding, misleading or abruptly hysterical info-bar synopses of the day's cable programming.
And while yesterday weirdly saw the second Info-Bar appearance for Trading Places glutton Don Ameche, today the cable guide brings together the previously incongruous worlds of Mark Harmon and Glenn Danzig.
Summer School
The Actual Story: Dumb-luck surfer boy/gym teacher Mark Harmon is plucked to teach motley group of underachievers in summer school program. Life lessons ensue.
Cable-Info Bar Synopsis: "Gym teacher must teach English to Misfits."
What Their Description Would Have You Believe: Part Rock 'N' Roll High School, part Stand And Deliver, Summer School stars Mark Harmon as a teacher constantly running afoul of school policy. As punishment, he's forced to teach English, discipline and a little bit of love to Danzing, Jerry Only and the rest of punk-rock legends/horrifying goth weightlifters The Misfits. The end result is a poem Danzing and Only title "Where Laureates Dare," later reworked into their hit single, "Where Eagles Dare."
