Hilarious Cable Info-Bar Description Of The Day: 'Harry And Son'

By Kenny HerzogWelcome back to one of NSCDUV's most beloved daily features, which takes aim at the most confounding, misleading or abruptly hysterical info-bar synopses of the day's cable programming.
And while yesterday saw Tim Curry and Jennifer Tilly drowning themselves in career suicide, today we witness the accidental stream-crossing of WWE and Showtime programming.
Today's entry is:
Harry And Son
The Actual Story: A relatively obscure directorial effort from Paul Newman, in which he plays the rugged, blue-collar widower/patriarch to a pansy, fiction-writing, wave-riding kid. And they try and, ya know, cross the divide of their differences and such.
Cable-Info Bar Synopsis: "Out-of-work hard-hat clashes with surfer son."
What Their Description Would Have You Believe: That the film's info bar was inadvertently swapped with that week's Monday Night RAW, which was about to debut its newest gimmicky storyline about a man who'd been turned into a hat by an evil witch, whom he had impregnated with their slacker kid years prior. Subsequently, millions of wrestling fans went to sleep disappointed when that night's episode didn't conclude with a touching embrace between a father and son. Viewers of Harry, however, were oddly satisfied.
