Welcome to one of NCDSUV's favorite daily features, where we acknowledge another turn of the calendar for a member of Hollywood land, even if it's a celebrity who often goes overlooked by the rest of the blogosphere, and regardless of whether we have a huge affinity for their body of work.
Yesterday, we made it through hump day with a lil' slice of Da Baddest Bitch, aka Miami MC Trina. Today, we're whipping up a complicated layer cake for a money-grubbin' Hollywood polymath.
Max Baer, Jr.
Age: 71
Why He's Sort Of Awesome: From his portrayal of colossal idiot Jethro Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies, to writing, producing, acting in and directing melodramatic dysfunction junction The Wild McCulloughs, to selling Beverly Hillbillies slot machines to 10 credulous casinos, to attempting to open his own casino, Baer never lets an opportunity to cash in on a tacky and potentially lucrative project pass him by.
Most Likely Celebrity Status 20 Birthdays From Now: At 91, Baer will just be getting going. In the preceding decades, he will have successfully opened a chain of Beverly Hillbillies-themed gas stations, horse-drawn hayrides and lines of shotguns rural casual wear. Bring on 92, bitches!
All Apologies To: Marisa Tomei, Jeff Bridges, Jay-Z, Tyra Banks
