Welcome to NCDSUV's newest daily feature, where we acknowledge another turn of the calendar for a member of Hollywood land, even if it's a celebrity who often goes overlooked by the rest of the blogosphere, and regardless of whether we have a huge affinity for their body of work.

Yesterday, bellowed a birthday "Huzzah!" for Bill Cosby's fictional better half's real better half Ahmad Rashad. Today, we just bellow for a model-turned-cradle-robbette-turned-ironically-awesome-actress-turned-crazy-right-winger.

Why She's Sort Of Awesome: The Playboy spreader and slow-mo jogging fan started modeling and acting simply because she wanted a few extra bucks for a new surfboard. Of course, those bonus points are all but canceled out by the fact that, at 16, Derek stole the more than willing, middle-age-crisis-bound, 46-year-old John Derek from his wife, Linda Evans. As a kind of roofied cherry on top of their classy little love sundae, the pair had to high-tail it to Germany to avoid any pesky statutory rape charges. The gruesome twosome returned to the states on Bo's 18th birthday and married in 1976. Pitching the scales slightly back in Bo's favor: the aforementioned running scene and her sweet cornrows in 10.
Most Likely Celebrity Status 20 Birthdays From Now: Having already won three Golden Raspberry Worst Actress Awards for her work in Tarzan, the Ape Man, Bolero and Ghosts Can't Do It, and having also received a nomination as "Worst Actress Of The Century" in 2000, it looks like her time for receiving dubious accolades may be over. However, Bo has been increasing her activity in the political realm (as a rabid conservative Republican, natch), and one can only hope that in her twilight years the aging "Perfect 10" will mount various Mary Carey-style bids for office.
