Speaking of hip-hop news (once again, R.I.P. Rudy Ray), Lil Wayne has once again flaunted his refusal to take career advice from NCDSUV, and announced that he and dreadlocked robot T-Pain will release a collaborative album in 2009 under the collective moniker T-Wayne. Because: A.) They may as well if the play on words is so apparent and B.) It will be a no-brainer bank-buster, even if it represents an artistic nadir for Wayne and another inexplicable act of lechery for the marginally talented Pain.
Well, that's not actually part of their official press release, but it's a fairly presumable distillation of the impetus behind the project.
Personally, I'd be a lot more excited if Weezy teamed up with a certain comedian/TV host-turned-R&B singer for the truly unholy musical tag team of Lil Wayne Brady. Can't you just picture Brady crooning "I'm Wayne Brady" while Lil Wayne leaps in and polishes off the hook with a southern-drawled "Bitch!"?
Once again, F. Baby, call me if you need a new manager. I've got a whole million-dollar Luis Vuitton suitcase full of ideas where that came from.
