A few weeks back, NCDSUV debuted its newest daily feature (and compiled September's best two weeks ago), which takes aim at the most confounding, misleading or abruptly hysterical info-bar synopses of the day's cable programming. And while yesterday saw the woeful Melissa Joan Hart/Adrien Grenier teen comedy Drive Me Crazy get morphed into an even more precious detective caper, today we turn toward a nostalgic clunker from the corrosive mind of Mike Binder.

Today's entry is:

Coup de Ville
The Actual Story: A nostalgic coming-of-age story that uses overwrought set pieces and wardrobe choices of the time to propel the unlikely bonding tale of three wildly different siblings. (What, you don't think Patrick Dempsey and Arye Gross could be related in real life?)
Cable-Info Bar Synopsis: "Three rival brothers drive their father's creampuff 1954 Cadillac from Detroit to 1963 Florida."
What Their Description Would Have You Believe: Where do I begin? First of all, "creampuff"? Nothing like an overwrought description for an overwrought set piece. Secondly, is this suddenly a time traveling adventure? And if so, isn't a Delorean way fucking cooler than a creampuff Cadillac?

Then again, it makes sense that this flick is so hard to summarize when it's the brainchild of manchild/Mind Of The Married Man braintrust Mike Binder:
