Hilarious Cable Info-Bar Description Of The Day

A few weeks back, NCDSUV debuted its newest daily feature (and compiled September's best earlier this week), which takes aim at the most confounding, misleading or abruptly hysterical info-bar synopses of the day's cable programming. And while yesterday saw John Travolta get more or less enshrined in the Hilarious Info-Bar Hall Of Fame with Primary Colors, today we try and salvage a classic spoof from the humorless clutches of cable-guide programmers.
Today's entry is:
Naked Gun: Police Squad
The Actual Story: Basically a 90-minute canvas for Leslie Nielsen to spoof his own television persona and reach previously untouched zeniths in sexual innuendo, via the parodying powers of Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker, who were operating at their highest peak since Airplane.
Cable-Info Bar Synopsis:"Detectives tackle an assassination plot."
What Their Description Would Have You Believe: Imagine the horror of the dreaded, flippant info-bar misguiding younger generations of comedy-lovers into thinking Naked Gun is just another boilerplate political thriller for old people. And then changing the channel. We must stop the insanity before another classic is lost through the cracks of the cable guide's indiscretions!
Hopefully this almost surreally funny clip will help bring a few folks back into the fold:

I feel more sorry for the person that is expecting a Clint Eastwood directed police thriller.
I wonder how long into the movie it would take before they realized this was a parody.

Sigh.
