Obama’s Kids Heart The Jonas Brothers, Who Heart Voting

In an election where race has been the most sensitive issue, it’s sort of amusing that Barack Obama’s kids were hoping the whiter-than-pure-cocaine Jonas Brothers─not their presidential-hopeful father ─would appear on Monday’s DNC satellite screen when they took the stage. In fact, according to the crack reporters at MTV (always monitoring the most prevalent convention-related issues), the girls may have rather been shimmying to the boys’ sugary pop in Chicago than helping their dad climb the political mountain in Denver.
More importantly, however, this allowed us an exclusive insight into the probing minds of the siblings Jonas. Their opinions on just about anything will of course influence millions of tweens, whose hypnotically persuasive power over helpless parents may well extend from weekly allowance into partisan pontification. Therefore, it’s comforting to know that Kevin and Joe, both old enough to vote, just sort of “generally endorse voting” and making “a decision for yourself.” Because we all know that sort of safely PR’d passive aggression has helped inspire intelligent choices at the booths in November during the last decade.
